Description

Dolce & Gabbana’s massive flagship on Fifth Avenue is three stories tall and spans 20,000 sq. ft. White Afyon marble adorns the walls of the receiving area while grey Afyon marble lined with gold-toned brass serves as flooring. Lustrous black nickel trim is added as an accent, and is also found framing the storefront’s forty-two foot glass facade -the largest insulated glass fixture in all of New York. Where the marble flooring ends, satin finish pine or polished walnut begins. Further into this stylish emporium, patrons can find Dolce & Gabbana’s signature damask wallpaper whose deep ruby color is reminiscent of the Ca’ del Bosco vineyard’s Brunello di Montalcino. The space is furnished with giant chandeliers, velvet tufted chairs, and 18th century gold-leaf mirrors. The effect is an emporium that emanates the opulence and sensuality the brand is lauded for.
