Shigeru Ban ArchitectsDescription
Camper enlisted famous Japanese architect, Shigeru Ban to bring a piece of artwork into the retail industry with the design of this 1,600sf space. From the corner of Prince and Greene Streets, Camper looks like an art installation with clean Camper-red lacquered millwork shelves and logo spanning the 90lf of the West wall. The modeled concrete floors carry the red stripe motif from the walls which is reflected in the corrugated aluminum ceiling. The 13-foot tall storefront that wraps around the building can be repositioned and fully opened inviting Soho shoppers to explore the products on Camper's shelves.
