Space4ArchitectureDescription
The construction of Gucci Brookfield Place required coordination for structural steel metal decking and concrete work, as well as additional structural steel support for the exterior storefront –which spans two stories. Carpeting, floor finishes, freestanding sales furniture, a custom beauty display, and showcases with integral lighting were all pre-fabricated in Italy and imported to the Gucci store –the coordination and installation of which were handled by the Michilli team. Finished include rose gold and bronze materials which were either galvanized or electroplated into various millwork pieces. A range of materials were used for the floors, ranging from Natural Iasa “Ortles” stone flooring, polished Bianco Lasa porcelain tile, Grey Cosmic Polished granite, rosewood, and Tanganika walnut. Custom wallpaper was created in diamond pattern liquid silver –in keeping with the store’s muted silver and bronze color palette.
