Description

John Hardy’s rich Balinese influence is made apparent in the natural elements incorporated into the modern design of their first stand-alone location. Handcrafted etched glass with a Batik inspired pattern is flanked by a façade made of deep walnut and stone spandrel panels. The same wood is utilized inside and is embellished with bronze inlays that complement the art piece in the store’s centermost wall. This art piece makes full use of the boutique’ high ceilings and features a teakwood tree root atop pounded metal. The lighting, which was designed to emulate the Balinese sun, gives the hammered brass the look of a sea made golden by the sunset.
