The French brand Sézane makes its debut in the United States with a SoHo based boutique and cafe they’ve dubbed “L’Appartement New York”. Architect Mark Talbot has designed the space to emulate a French woman’s home. This concept is manifested in the subtle touches that make the space feel less like a boutique and more like a cozy second home. From the brass finishes -in the form of Pelagia swan neck light fixtures, boite aux lettres brass detailing, and a made to order number plate- to the custom-made “Bonjour New York” mosaique au sol hand installed at the entryway. Bespoke built-ins and a wooden herringbone patterned floor add to the space’s charm, making it a welcoming place for lovers of French fashion to shop, have a coffee, or to simply feel inspired.
