C3 Architectural DesignDescription
Nike set up their pop-up store in Van Cortlandt Park –New York’s premier cross country running course. Artwork was commissioned to Andrew Bannecker, an American artist who was included in Luerzer’s 200 Best Illustrators in the world. He makes use of graffiti inspired prints and a red, black, and white color palette. Bright colored sneakers are displayed against a pure black metal wall. The same obsidian painted metal is used throughout the space, featuring sporty design elements such as lockers and bleachers –the latter of which is colored in a rich red. Balancing the dark metals and striking red accents are unpainted, steel trimmed wooden walls and perforated stainless steel shelving.
