212 Box ArchitectureDescription
Christian Louboutin’s first store in Chicago is located in what used to be the Esquire Theatre building. The two-story boutique spans 1,700 square feet – the majority of its floor space is covered with custom red carpeting dyed to match the brand’s iconic red-bottoms. Non-carpeted areas make use of travertine stone, leather floor tiles, or high-polished concrete. The entire space is outfitted with bespoke items, such as a ciel leather diamond wall with black stitching, signature wall niches, a metal screen display, an etched brass accent wall, antique tile work, and mirror boxes of varying sizes. Furniture such as Christian Louboutin’s signature tattoo chairs for the men’s floor and Hexham ottomans in the women’s section were also imported –along with several other signature furniture pieces.
