KITH’s first brick-and-mortar store on the West Coast is a subterranean space located on 8500 Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. Its design was inspired by founder Ronnie Fieg’s background growing up as a Queens kid. Both New York and Los Angeles’ multicultural and modern dynamism are captured in marble, concrete, stainless steel, and glass constructs. A shoe display in the center of the room is created out of floor-to-ceiling glass panes bordered with stainless steel and bronze planters. Inside, marble herringbone-laid floors further differentiate the display from the rest of the store –which makes use of dark grey stone or poured concrete flooring. The Treats bar is covered in silver tile and overlooks a ceiling filled with hanging plants and sneakers. The main shopping area features a neon KITH logo, cove lighting with millwork light installations, and perfectly sealed mirrored columns. Their custom-made stone cash wrap has built in lights illuminating art books in niche shelving.
