Céline’s Florida flagship is located in the Design District of Miami and encompassed a total of 5,217 square feet spanning two floors. Project highlights include extensive structural steel work, which was conducted to accommodate new storefront systems, staircases, and pyramid framing. Façade work included framing and glass systems on both the first and second floors. Our scope of work also meant the installation of a two level feature staircase made of concrete with a custom brass railing. Structural and architectural concrete was another major facet of the project and is used for aesthetic purposes throughout the store. This included columns, footings, benches, panels, and miscellaneous concrete infills. Certain aspects of which we had to ensure was properly supported to meet safety requirements –such a triangular archway on the second floor which serves as a focal point and a supporting column which was converted into an obelisk structure. We furnished and installed oak wood flooring where specified and provided high density shelving, appliances, fire protection systems, and data systems. HVAC and electrical systems were upgraded with new equipment and controls.
