The construction of Champs Times Square Flagship involved a high level of teamwork and coordination between several project stakeholders. Our scope of work included managing the installation of an escalator with a LED screen that spanned two stories. LED screens were outfitted through the store. Installation of owner-supplied items included stand-alone and built-in shelving, display cases, cash wraps, neon signage and light fixtures. The client wanted their flagship to capture the five boroughs of New York, which was accomplished by adding specialized touches to the space. Our role as general contractor also encompassed the management of the flagship’s three story back of house product conveying system comprised of chutes, dumbwaiters, and conveyer belts. The space was also outfitted with an elevator. Façade work included replacing existing storefront systems with new structural framework, windows, hardware, and signage –which was installed over the main entrance awning. We also managed a five-display installation with the Sensory Interactive’s Creative Design team. The biggest components of this display are four 68x23 foot screens -two of which are situated above the entryway. A 3-foot tall LED ticker tape wraps around the building, covering 77 feet. These screens have more than 1.7 million pixels.
