The design and construction of SHVO’s 530 Broadway in New York City seamlessly blend historic preservation with modern innovation. Originally built in the early 1900s in SoHo’s Cast Iron District, the building features iconic facades and expansive, light-filled floorplates. Michilli’s scope included interior renovations to unify three buildings into a single structure, with extensive work to level floors and create a seamless, cohesive space. The lobby, redesigned by Snarkitecture, features a site-specific installation by Daniel Arsham and lighting by L’Observatoire International. The result is a dynamic space that honors SoHo’s artistic spirit while meeting the needs of today’s commercial tenants, earning the 2022 NYCxDESIGN Award for best small commercial lobby.
This 8,000-square-foot footprint in the Meatpacking District of New York City is now TOD’s U.S. headquarters. Michilli Inc. provided select walnut custom oversized veneered doors and furniture for the office area, while they were also responsible for the high-polished lacquer shelving, leather-clad walls, and walnut travertine flooring.
